ENGLEWOOD, Fla. - An Englewood woman died Wednesday night after troopers say her motorcycle struck a concrete median and crashed.

It happened around 10:45pm on Placida Road just south of South McCall Road, at the intersection with the entrances to Merchants Crossing and Palm Manor.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 47-year-old Lisa Bauman was riding her Harley Davidson northbound on Placida Road when troopers say she failed to negotiate the right curve and struck the raised concrete median.

Bauman, who wasn't wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and came to a rest in the intersection.

She was taken to Englewood Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
