CHARLOTTE COUNTY - A collision between a motorcycle and a car kills an 82-year-old man.

State troopers say it happened at Veterans Boulevard and Norman Street in Port Charlotte Saturday afternoon.

The 19-year-old woman driving the car had stopped at the intersection, and began to turn onto Veterans, but did not see the motorcycle.

The biker, Elmer Morra, tried to slide the bike to avoid the crash, but could not and suffered fatal injuries when he flew off the bike.
