NOKOMIS, Fla. - The mother of a Suncoast murder victim is again in trouble with the law. Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies arrested Susan Schorpen on Tuesday, after she allegedly sold cocaine to an undercover officer.

Schorpen is the mother of Carlie Brucia, the 11-year-old whose 2004 abduction and murder brought national media attention to Sarasota.

Since her daughter's death, Schorpen has had numerous run-ins with the law. She's been arrested in both Sarasota and Manatee counties on drug charges.
