VENICE, Fla. - City officials are warning people about reserving their spots for Saturday night's Venice Holiday Parade too early.

Parade goers often attempt to reserve their spots along the West Venice Avenue and Nokomis Avenue parade route several days in advance of the popular event.  Some people have already placed chairs and sheets along the streets.

However, city officials ask that parade goers refrain from placing items in the grass more than 24 hours before the 5pm Saturday parade start.

The same goes for the December 1st Christmas Boat Parade along the Intracoastal Waterway.
