CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - When you find an alligator in your culvert, who you gonna call? Earlier this week, it was Agricultural Detective Justin Treworgy.

When the YMCA Day Care Center on Quesada Avenue in Port Charlotte discovered an alligator in a nearby culvert pipe on Tuesday, they turned to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office after other resources failed to respond.

The sheriff's communications crew contacted Treworgy, who has previous experience with dealing with alligators as the agricultural detective.

Treworgy coordinated his efforts with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and, with the assistance of YMCA personnel, he was able to drive the gator out of the culvert and grab it. The alligator was not injured and was relocated back into the wild, far away from the day care.
