PUNTA GORDA, FL. - The second man wanted in the murder of 19-year-old Tara Sidarovich in October of 2001 has been arrested.

Detectives of the Sheriff’s Cold Case Squad, and members of the CCSO Fugitive Apprehension Unit assigned to the U.S. Marshal Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, developed significant leads that 43-year-old Phillip Gavin Barr was in the Harwick, Vermont area. They passed the information on to the U.S. Marshal’s in Vermont and pin-pointed Barr’s location.

On Wednesday at 10 a.m., Barr was located at 68 Pine Drive in Harwick, where he was living with a woman. As U.S. Marshal’s approached the home, Barr ran out the back door where he was met by other U.S. Marshal’s; he surrendered without incident. A search of his home located two rifles and he now faces possible Federal charges for being in possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

Barr was taken to an area correctional facility, where he was booked on the Charlotte County warrant for First Degree Murder. It is not known at this time when Barr will be returned to Charlotte County.

39-year-old David Ray McMannis of Cumberland, Maryland was arrested Oct. 26 in that city, also for First Degree Murder in the death of Tara Sidarovich. He was transported back to Charlotte County on Nov. 4 and remains in the Charlotte County Jail on no bond. On Nov. 8, detectives arrested 46-year-old Linda Fay Dille of Punta Gorda. She was charged with two felony counts of Perjury in the Cold Case investigation.
