NORTH PORT - The man allegedly responsible for a North Port High School bomb threat this week is now under arrest.
Police say 19-year-old Kyle McMahan of Port Charlotte has been charged with making a false report of a bomb or explosive device, and disrupting a school function.
McMahan surrendered to police Friday morning, and is being held at the Sarasota County Jail without bond.
Police say the threat he made through Facebook was a hoax, but police took precaution this past Monday, bringing bomb sniffing dogs on campus just to be sure.
