Small explosion at USF Lab in Tampa

TAMPA, FL- Tampa Fire Rescue is looking into a small explosion at a research building at the University of South Florida.

The explosion happened early Wednesday morning just before 3 a.m. off Spectrum Blvd.  Initially crews responded to a possible hazardous materials incident.  Fire Rescue is venting the lab. 

They don't believe it is suspicious and no one was hurt in the incident.

No word if the building will be closed to classes.
