Sheriff: Man beat with trailer hitch, stabbed with fork in neighborhood dispute

BRADENTON, FL (WWSB) - A neighborhood dispute results in three arrests after one man was stabbed with a grilling fork.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Jessica Garay, Raul Trevino Jr. and Amos Trevino used a grilling fork, trailer hitch and a PVC pipe to attack two neighbors who came to their home on Flamingo Boulevard in Bradenton, Monday night.

In an MCSO probable cause affidavit, deputies state that the incident began when a neighbor, who lives behind the Trevino residence, confronted Amos and Raul about a fire that was burning in their backyard.

The affidavit says that after a verbal altercation, Amos allegedly grabbed a metal trailer hitch and began swinging it violently at the victim, striking him with it.

A second neighbor, who heard the altercation, jumped the fence between the residences to assist the first victim and was attacked by Raul who was swinging a PVC pipe, according to deputies.

As both victims were retreating to the front yard Garay exited the residence yelling profanities at the victims, wielding a grilling fork

According to the probable cause affidavit, Garay stabbed the first neighbor with the grilling fork before the victims were able to escape.

Jessica Garay, 39, is charged with Criminal Mischief and use of a deadly weapon.

Amos Trevino, 32, is charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery.

Raul Trevino Jr., 53, is charged with Battery.

The victims received medical treatment from EMS but refused further evaluation at a hospital.
