NORTH PORT, Fla. -- First, Sam Woolf placed fifth on the singing competition show American Idol.  Then Josh Kaufman won the NBC competition The Voice.  Now a North Port High School student is hoping to get her big break.

According to the Sun Herald, 16 year old Alyssa Pasick will head out to Nashville, Tennessee for the July 31st audition search for season 14 of American Idol.  Pasick recently won a "Dream Ticket" competition at the American Idol experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  She had to compete to win the ticket and her vocal talents took her to the top.

The ticket will allow Alyssa to skip the long lines of thousands of constestants and move right to the top of the list.  No word yet on what song she will sing for the celebrity judges.  If she passes the day long auditions she will then move on to the celebrity judges, who will either send her to Hollywood or send her home.
