VENICE, Fla. -- A Naval recruit who died while training at Naval Station Great Lakes, IL will be laid to rest on the Suncoast.
VENICE, Fla. -- 20 year-old Andrew Adams lost consciousness during a leisure period at Recruit Training Command on December 1st and hit his head, according to the military.
The Navy is investigating and the cause of death is unknown.
Adams was born in Venice and attended Venice High School, where he was a communications officer in ROTC.
A viewing for Adams will take place on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Farley Funeral Home in Venice.
A mass will be held at Epiphany Cathedral at 11:30 a.m. on Tampa Avenue in Venice.
Adams will then be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery.
