WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTXL) - U.S. Representative and Senate candidate Jack Kingston of Georgia is calling for resignations at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Kingston joins the ranks of officials calling for VA Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign from his post.

“It is unconscionable that Secretary Shinseki has not addressed the blatant corruption in the VA and that President Obama believes an internal investigation will fix everything," said Kingston. "It is time for some accountability from this White House so our veterans can get the care they deserve.”

An investigation into deaths at veterans hospitals is underway, with top officials facing allegations of covering up the deaths.   So far Secretary Shinseki has not offered his resignation, and President Obama has not asked for it.
