Worker on Tropicana property seriously injured from electrical shock

BRADENTON - An explosion at a well-known juice producing company in Manatee County left one worker with serious injuries.

It happened Thursday at the Tropicana juice plant in Bradenton around 9:45 am.

According to first responders, the worker was shocked and burned. He was flown to Tampa General Hospital via Bayflite.

The fire department is still on scene ventilating the warehouse. No word yet on what caused the explosion or the identity of the victim.

We'll have more details as they become available.
