Woman crashes vehicle after chase with deputy

LAKEWOOD RANCH - A Sarasota woman has been arrested after leading a Manatee County deputy on a chase, then crashing her vehicle into a ditch.

It happened Monday around 11:20pm on the 17000 block of S.R. 70 East in Bradenton.

A Manatee County Sheriff’s deputy observed 30-year-old Michelle Haddad run a red light on S.R. 70 at Lakewood Ranch Blvd. As the deputy attempted to catch up the vehicle Haddad then ran another red light at on S.R.70 at Lorraine Road.

Haddad then drove off the road into the grass and continued nearly a mile before driving into the ditch and rolling over onto its roof.

Haddad was transported to Blake Medical Center for treatment. She was listed in stable condition.
