BRADENTON – A small crowd honored a night of remembrance in Manatee County Tuesday evening.

Victims of crimes, survivors, and their families lit candles at the Manatee County courthouse. It's part of National Crime Victim’s Week -- a time when law enforcement, victims' right groups and others pause to remember those impacted by and lost to violence.

This is the 27th year the Manatee Victim Rights Council has hosted this event. A similar vigil took place last week in Sarasota.
