Unoccupied mobile home damaged in early morning fire

BRADENTON – A fire damaged a mobile home in the Pride Park neighborhood early Monday morning. Fortunately the structure appeared to be unoccupied at the time.

It happened just before 5:30am in the 300 block of Avocado Street, that’s in the Plantation Village Mobile Home Park off 63rd Avenue.

According to Southern Manatee Fire Rescue, first responders arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home. A search of the home found no occupants.

The master bedroom sustained fire damage, and the entire unit has smoke damage, at a total estimate of $10,000 worth of damage.

Manatee County EMS assisted at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
