Two arrested in week-end drive by shooting in Palmetto

MANATEE COUNTY - Police in Palmetto say they have made two arrests in connection to a drive-by shooting that sent two people to the hospital over the weekend.

Palmetto Police have arrested 22-year-old Quavonte Reddick and a 16-year-old juvenile and charged them both with Attempted Murder.

The incident happened Sunday morning in the 300 block of 15th Street in Palmetto. Police say Reddick and the other suspect were driving a car by the residence when they opened fire.

Debris from the gunfire struck two women, 23-year-old Shenice Miller and 27-year-old Nikia Mills. Both were taken to the hospital and treated.

Bullets also hit a car and a home.
