BRADENTON, Fla. - A Palmetto teen died Wednesday morning after troopers say he crashed his truck near the entrance to Bashaw Elementary School.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Celsey Kizer was driving his Dodge pickup truck southbound on Morgan Johnson Road around 7:30am.

That's when for unknown reasons, the truck veered left across the northbound lane, across the entrance to the elementary school, and into a ditch.  The truck struck the side of the ditch and a wooden fence.

Kizer was transported to Blake Medical center, where he was pronounced dead.
