MANATEE COUNTY - Wild weather spawned funnel clouds over the Suncoast and caused damage to at least one mobile home Monday night.

Viewer sent in photos just as heavy rain and storms were moving in around 6pm Monday. The funnel cloud was spotted near University Parkway and I-75.

Images show a cloud rotating for a little bit, but it never appeared to touch the ground.

But other storms in the area did some damage on the ground. Sue Lancaster lives in Colony Cove in Ellenton and says high winds tore off some of the roof to her home and damaged her screened lanai.

Lancaster suffered only minor injuries, including a banged up leg.
