MANATEE COUNTY - Detectives are looking for 3 suspects who robbed McDonald’s at gunpoint Thursday night.

It happened around 4:30 am at the McDonald’s located at 604 67th Street Circle East.

A McDonald’s employee had completed his shift and was in the parking lot of the business, when 3 black males approached him, pistol whipped him and forced him back into the building. The suspects located another employee and the manager inside the restaurant and then forced all 3 employees into the building's office at gunpoint.

The suspects pistol whipped the manager, pointed their firearms at the other employees and demanded the manager open the safe. The manager complied and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A witness observed the suspects leaving the scene in a 2000's 4-door Tan Toyota Camry traveling eastbound on State Road 64.

Deputies were notified a few minutes later, secured the scene, and began a search for the suspects. They could not be found.

The victims were transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital, treated for their injuries and later released.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
