2 sought in fatal Manatee County stabbing

MANATEE COUNTY - Detectives are still looking for two people wanted for murder after a stabbing that began with an argument.

It happened just before 6 am Saturday in the 900 block of 61st Avenue Circle East.

Manatee County deputies came to find 49-year-old Juan Santiago Reyes-Tapia unconscious on the ground, with a stab wound in the chest. Rescuers could not save him.

Deputies believe a man and woman confronted Reyes-Tapia as he got ready to leave for work, and the man stabbed him during the argument.

The suspects are described as a chubby Hispanic male with short hair, who was wearing Converse sneakers, and a thin Hispanic female with long black hair and a tattoo on her neck.
