BRADENTON, Fla. - For the fourth year, State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota has been named a 2014 Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine.

As a top military friendly school, SCF is recognized among the top 20 percent of all colleges, universities and trade schools nationwide for exhibiting leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience and ensuring the success of military service members, veterans and spouses as college students.

More than 400 veterans from all branches of the military are enrolled at SCF.

SCF veterans centers offer assistance with admissions, course selection, financial aid and tutoring. SCF student clubs, including the Veterans Collegiate Association at Bradenton and the Veterans Exchange at Venice, provide support to veterans as they adjust to civilian life.
