BRADENTON, FL-- Manatee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call around 4:00 Thursday morning that there was someone on the roof at a strip mall at 6200 14th Street West.

According to the report, when deputies arrived, the building was surrounded and witnesses told them that the suspect was still up there.  The fire department came out to assist, and a K-9 deputy helped search for the suspect on the roof.

Deputies eventually found a destroyed ceiling tile in a Thai Restaurant in the plaza, where they eventually found the suspect, Bryon Newville, hiding in the freezer.

The restaurant sustained heavy damage due to Newville and his destructive actions.  Not only will there be impairment to the business, but also the damage will far exceed $1000.  Blood pattern indicated Newville was injured during the fall through the ceiling and that he moved around the restaurant and attempted to open the cash register.  It appears his intended target was the pharmacy, but he chose the wrong air handler to fall through.

He will be charged with 1st Degree Burglary to a structure once he is released from the hospital.
