Prescription Drug Take-Back Day this weekend

MANATEE COUNTY – Manatee County law enforcement and MCSAC are taking back unwanted prescription drugs.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Manatee County Substance Abuse Coalition, along with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bradenton, Palmetto and Holmes Beach Police Departments will join the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

It gives the public an opportunity to prevent Prescription Drug abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Liquids and needles are not accepted.

Bring your medications for disposal to the following drop off locations:

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
