MANATEE COUNTY - A Palmetto woman is in critical condition after a crash Monday evening.
It happened around 9m Monday at U.S. 41 and Lakeside Drive.
77-year-old Suzanne Addazio of Palmetto was stopped for a stop sign on Lakeside Blvd at the intersection of US 41. Another vehicle driven by 54-year-old Hubert Morel of Apopka was going south on U.S. 41 in the right lane approaching the intersection of Lakeside Blvd. Addazio failed to observe Morel and struck the left side of his vehicle.
Addazio was taken to Bayfront Medical Hospital in critical condition. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries.
Charges are pending.
