BRADENTON BEACH- The Sheena Morris death case is getting a second look, but the investigation is not being reopened, at least for now.
Bradenton Beach Police Chief Sam Speciale tells us his department will work on the 15 recommendations handed down by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Those recommendations include some lab work. A panel of law enforcement experts reviewed the case in September and presented those recommendations on Friday.
The FDLE will assist Bradenton Beach Police with working on the recommendations.
The findings from those recommendations will then be presented to the State Attorney's Office for a review. The office will decide if the investigation should be reopened.
Morris was found hanging in a Bradenton Beach hotel room in 2009. Cops ruled her death a suicide, but family members continue to say she was murdered.
