BRADENTON - Students from Manatee High School are also expressing their frustration with the district’s financial troubles.
The school's ceramic class unveiled their rendition of "The Scream" by Edvard Munch.
The class's art teacher says the kiln used to bake their ceramic projects was shut down back in February by a safety inspector, because they were not up to code.
Because of the district's financial problems, no money was allocated it, so the students came up with a way to express their concerns.
"That’s what art is all about, making a statement with your art is important sometimes it’s not happy sometimes it is look at the power the kids did it’s pretty imagine and they do imaging things in my class room so we just shifted gears I guess from ceramics to recycled art,” says Manatee High Teacher Robert Reiber.
Reiber says they have also submitted the mural to the Guinness Book of World Records. They should here back in the coming months.
