Manatee County authorities investigate 2 hit and run incidents

MANATEE COUNTY - Authorities seeking the public’s assistance locating 2 hit and run drivers in two separate incidents.

The first happened Tuesday around 2:15 pm at U.S. 41 and 29th Avenue West in Bradenton.

According to the FHP, both drivers were headed north on 41, and as one driver stopped for traffic she was hit from behind.

According to the victim, the hit and run driver left the scene in a silver Kia Soul with front end damage. The suspect is described as a white female, in her late 20's, with brown hair, about 5 feet, 3 inches tall with an average build.

The second crash happened around 3:20 pm Tuesday along U.S. 41 just south of State Road 70.

Investigators say the victim was heading north on 41 and waiting for traffic to clear when they were hit by another driver, who kept going.

The suspect left the scene in a small white car.
