BRADENTON - A Manatee County judge will rule on whether school administrators facing felony charges in the Rod Frazier case will be tried separately.

Former district investigator Debra Horne is requesting a separate trial. She, along with school administrators Bob Gagnon, Matthew Kane, and Gregg Faller, were all charged with failure to report child abuse.

The charges stem from an investigation into accusations that former assistant football coach Rod Frazier had inappropriate contact with students at Manatee High School. He faces seven misdemeanor counts of battery and three counts of interfering with a student's attendance.

All involved have plead not guilty to the charges.

An increasingly dangerous vipers' tangle of malfeasance. Very sad indeed. They just cannot get it right.
