BRADENTON, FL. - Deputies are looking for a male suspect who they say choked a woman in her home after an argument, and then fled the scene.

It happened Thursday around 3:40 am on the 500 block 67th Avenue West.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Bruce Nolet entered Billie Jo Lee Laurin’ s residence without permission and began to argue. The argument turned physical, when Nolet threw her down on the bed and began choking her from behind.

A neighbor heard the disturbance and entered the residence stopping the attack. Nolet then fled the scene in his vehicle.

Nolet and Billie have a child together, but have never resided at the above address together.

The suspect has made threats to harm himself. If anyone with information on his whereabouts should call MSO at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
