BRADENTON - Police say road rage may have played a role in a shooting on a Bradenton road early Sunday.
It happened Sunday around midnight on State Road 70 just west of I-75.
Manatee County deputies say that Mark Shapiro drove up alongside an SUV that he may have thought cut him off. He then fired 2 shots into the vehicle and drove off.
Deputies caught Shapiro a short time later. He faces charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Shooting a Gun from a Moving Vehicle, and Shooting a Gun under the Influence of Alcohol.
The two people inside the car that was fired upon were not injured.
