BRADENTON - A domestic related hostage situation in Bradenton lands a repeat offender behind bars facing serious charges.
The incident happened around 10:17 Sunday night.
Deputies arrived at the home in the 6900 hundred block of Manatee Avenue West to the sounds of a woman, Dena Harrison, screaming and crying. When they tried to enter no one would answer, so they deemed the incident a hostage situation.
The couple finally opened the door after several calls were made over a P.A. system.
21-year-old Roger Villasana was taken to the Manatee County Jail for beating Harrison. He was on probation for committing against the victim a month ago.
Villasana faces charges for felony battery, violating probation and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
