1 killed, 1 serious after two vehicles collide in Bradenton

BRADENTON - A car crash in Manatee County over the weekend killed one person and left another in serious condition.

Florida Highway Patrol says a car and pick-up truck hit head-on when one of the drivers hit the brakes and swerved into the others lane on State Road 62 in Bradenton.

The driver of the pick-up truck veered into 65-year-old Mary Perkins' path. The truck then caught on fire.

Perkins died at the scene.

Charges are pending.
