BRADENTON - KB Home is now suing its subcontractors after numerous structural problems at a Bradenton townhome community.

Court records show, KB Home, the developer who built 271 condos in the Willowbrook subdivision filed legal action against 41 subcontractors on April 23 in Manatee County.

The suit alleges the subcontractors performed sub-standard work. They are requesting a jury trial.

The Willowbrook Condo Association agreed with KB Home to hire a third party contractor to make repairs to those buildings in need.

Homeowners there have complained about water leaks and shoddy construction.

In a statement sent to ABC 7, KB Home Spokesperson Cara Kane says the company will stand behind their homes and their warranty and expect their trade partners to do the same.

They are trying to screw the subs to mitigate their loses. They did not do their due diligence or inspect work before signing off on it. Nothing but a scumbag corporation.
