MANATEE COUNTY - A shakeup has rocked the Bradenton Housing Authority after two officials were fired following a federal investigation.

The Bradenton Herald reports that Executive Director Wenston DeSue and Housing Authority official Stephany West were both removed from their positions Tuesday.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development served search warrants last week at a storage facility used by the Housing Authority. A number of documents were collected and removed.

The current financial director has been appointed as acting director.
