Hit and run suspect sought after striking 15-year-old

BRADENTON - A hit and run suspect is sought after hitting a pedestrian and fleeing the scene.

It happened Wednesday around 7:30 pm at Bayshore Gardens Parkway and Columbia Drive.

According to FHP, a black Honda was approaching Columbia Drive in the right lane. A 15-year-old male was walking westbound on Bayshore Gardens Parkway approaching Columbia Drive on the sidewalk.

The driver of the Honda failed to maintain control of his vehicle causing go into the crosswalk, where it struck the teen. The vehicle then left the scene.

The victim only suffered minor injuries.

The vehicle is described as a 2-door black Honda passenger car. The driver is described as a white male with blonde hair.

Anyone who many have witnessed this crash or has knowledge as to the identity / location of the hit and run driver and or vehicle, is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800.
