BRADENTON - Prosecutors have officially filed charges against Manatee High School assistant football coach Rod Frazier.
Frazier's attorney tells ABC 7 that the coach faces seven counts of 1st Degree Misdemeanor Battery, and three counts of Interfering with the Attendance of a Student. These charges stem from a former female student's claims that Frazier groped her and sent her inappropriate text messages.
Frazier has been on paid leave since February while police investigated claims of misconduct. They sent their findings to the State Attorney's Office, who decided to file charges.
An arraignment is scheduled for August 8th.
