BRADENTON - A Bradenton man on a motorcycle was struck and critically injured Sunday morning at a Bradenton intersection.

It happened around 11am at the intersection of 15th Street East and 30th Avenue East.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 54-year-old Norman White was eastbound on 30th Avenue on his Harley Davidson and stopped at a red light.  When the light turned green he proceeded into the intersection and was hit by a southbound minivan that ran the red light.

White was thrown into the van's windshield and then onto the roadway.  He was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton with critical injuries.

He was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the minivan and one of her passengers suffered minor injuries.  The driver was cited for Failure to Stop for Traffic Light.
