Deputies: Man hit in the head with pipe over money owed

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. - A man was struck in the head with a pipe and had his wallet stolen in a Bradenton mobile home park Thursday by a man he reportedly owed money to, according to deputies.

66-year-old Cesare Campbell was later arrested in his home for the attack and charged with Armed Robbery.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, the 47-year-old victim was visiting a relative in the Sunset Village Mobile Home Park on 14th Street West around 2pm Thursday when he was approached by Campbell.

Campbell demanded money that was owed to him and reportedly struck the victim in the head with a pipe, causing a laceration.  Campbell took the man's wallet, which contained $10.

Deputies located Campbell in his home with the victim's wallet and arrested him.
