the Manatee County Sheriff's Office believes the death was an accident and no charges have been filed in the death.

PALMETTO, Fla. - A Lee County family already in mourning are now coping with the tragic death of a 3-year-old child who died after reportedly being left in a vehicle in Palmetto Saturday.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, a family from Lehigh Acres was in Palmetto for a funeral Saturday.  The parents drove separate vehicles to drop their three children off at the babysitters before going to the funeral.  Their 3-year-old, Kyrese Dwayne Anderson, was apparently left in the vehicle while their 4 and 5 year old children were brought inside.

The parents then left for the funeral thinking all the children were inside the residence.

When they returned hours later, they discovered Kyrese unresponsive in the vehicle and called 911.

An autopsy will be performed Monday.  No charges have been filed yet, and an investigation is under way.
