BRADENTON - An investigation is underway to determine if alcohol played a role in a single-vehicle crash that killed two people early Sunday.
State troopers say 26-year-old Chrissie Woods from Palmetto wrapped her car around a utility pole and crashed it into a tree on Cortez Road near U.S. 41 at about 4:30 am Sunday.
Neither she, nor her 22-year-old passenger, Jontrease Yarn, also from Palmetto, had their seat belt on.
Neither survived the crash.
