Dead homeless person found in Bradenton lake

BRADENTON, FL. - Authorities are investigating the death of a homeless person found in a Bradenton lake.

At approximately 9:15 am Friday, deputies responded to a body in the lake at Bayshore on the Lake Condominiums located at 3600 Lake Bayshore Drive.

The body was located by deputies several feet from shore. There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Deputies were able to tentatively identify the body as a known 56-year-old homeless person in the area. A name will not be released until positive ID has been made and family has been notified.
