1 dead, 2 critical after speeding vehicle hits pole and overturns

BRADENTON, FL. - A driver speeding with 2 others in a car is dead after his vehicle spins out of control and overturns.

It happened Thursday around 2:45am at 34th Street West and 49th Avenue Drive West in Bradenton.

20-year-old Darian Everett of Bradenton was traveling northbound on 34th St W, north of 49th Ave Dr. West at a high rate of speed. He lost control of his vehicle, causing it to rotate clockwise and collide with a utility pole and then into a parked vehicle in a driveway. After the collision, the vehicle overturned into the front yard of a home on the 3800 block of 34th Street West.

Everett was pronounced dead at the scene. His passengers, 19-year-old Mitchell Shreves and 20-year-old Stephanie Lanham were taken to Blake Memorial hospital in critical condition.

The report says nobody in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt.
