Cortez Road bank robbed Tuesday morning

BRADENTON, Fla. - Deputies are searching for a man they say robbed a Bradenton Wells Fargo bank Tuesday morning.

It happened at the Wells Fargo on Cortez Road just off 14th Street West at around 9:20am.

Witnesses say that the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money.  A weapon was implied but not seen. The suspect took an undetermined amount of money and fled the bank on foot.

The suspect is described as:

  • White or Hispanic male
  • 55-65 years old
  • 5’6” – 5’8” tall
  • 190-200 pounds
  • wearing glasses

The suspect was wearing a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts.
