BRADENTON - A new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Bradenton is opening Thursday morning, but it's already drawing quite a crowd. Hundreds showed up by 6am Wednesday for a chance to win free food for a year.

The first 100 people were given the opportunity to stay outside of the new restaurant for 24 hours, until it opens at 6am Thursday tomorrow. If they make it through the heat, humidity and possible rain, they will be awarded a free Chick-fil-A sandwich, waffle fries and a medium drink for a year.

Bathroom breaks are allowed, so are tents, and they’re even allowed to bring a few friends or family members along. If there is lightning, everyone will be brought inside; but otherwise, they have to stick it out.

The campers are being fed breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. There are also games and a private DJ party Wednesday night.

The new location is on 14th Street West in Bradenton, one block south of Cortez Road.
