BRADENTON - A Bradenton family loses everything in a house fire.
It happened just after midnight Sunday on 11th Street West.
Neighbors raced to the burning duplex to wake the family inside. Fortunately, everyone got out ok.
The man who lives next door says he and his wife ran out of the home when a neighbor pounded on his door and yelled for him to get out.
Today, he had high praise for the first responders who showed up moments later.
“The fire department did a good job, just a little water damage, but I think a firewall prevented it from going into our apt. Ours is good, but my neighbor lost everything," says Luis Negron.
Negron also had especially kind words for Bradenton Police Sergeant Sean O'Leary saying the sergeant gave him a jacket as he stood in the cold.
Fire investigators say the cause of the fire was electrical.
