COLLIER COUNTY, FL (WWSB) - Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is continuing to conduct a suspicious death investigation from the human remains found in Collier County on Tuesday, October 9.
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, the human remains were identified as 55-year-old Sergio Hostins. Hostins is a Sarasota resident and was reported missing on Monday, Oct. 8 2018.
Detectives say they have issued a warrant for the arrest of 31-year-old Daniel Davenport for the murder of Sergio Hostins.
Deputies say Davenport may be in Tampa, driving a green Subaru Forrester, FL plate IE801K. If you see him, dial 911 immediately.
According to the police report, two men working for a home renovation company found the remains on the worksite. The home they were renovating is located on 102nd Ave North.
Deputies say they discovered the remains around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9.
The investigation is ongoing and more details will be released as they become available.
