SARASOTA, Fla. - Emmabella Rudd, 11,  is heading to Washington, D.C. this week, intent on lobbying Congress to continue it's support for juvenile diabetes research.

She will  join more than 150 other children, all of them diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, in an effort to raise awareness and increase funding for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

ABC 7 Reporter Trevor Shirley sits down with Emmabella Rudd, and will have more about her inspirational story.
