Workers wrap up beach renourishment project on Anna Maria Island

ANNA MARIA ISLAND, Fla. -- A $16 million beach renourishment project is now complete on Anna Maria Island.

Federal, state and county officials gathered Tuesday for a ceremony to celebrate the completion.

Officials say the project will make it better for businesses and tourism. Beach renourishment provides storm and environmental protection as well.

Rules of Conduct
