2 women arrested after road rage incident

SARASOTA COUNTY - Two women have been arrested after a weekend road rage incident.

It happened Sunday around 8 p.m. at U.S. 41 and Pearl Avenue.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Alanna Ferris was driving northbound on U.S. 41 in Sarasota County with her passenger, Chloe Costello, when an altercation began on U.S. 41 at the Myrtle Road intersection involving two women in their vehicle. The altercation continued into Manatee County, when the victim stopped for a red light at the U.S. 41 and Pearl Avenue.

The two women got out of their vehicle entered the victim's vehicle, ripping her out of her car and battering her in the roadway at the intersection. The victims contacted 911 providing the suspect vehicle's tag and description.

A short time later a second call for service was received from another party in relation to the incident. The caller from the second call was now in Sarasota County in SPD's jurisdiction near the Manatee County border. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office responded to this location to conduct interviews with the other involved person(s) in the incident, which post investigation were found to be the perpetrators.

Sarasota Police was notified and requested to respond to the interview location. The two suspects, 27-year-old Lisa Robinson of Sarasota and 19-year-old Raquel McCall of Sarasota, were positively identified by both victims and arrested.
